Cerebral Function Monitor
Low Voltage - Isoelectric

This tracing was recorded from a full term infant at the age of 8 to 12 hours. The infant was born in ceasarian section due to prolapse of cord. He underwent full resuscitation after delivery. Some spontaneous breathing/gasping appeared at 3 hours of age. His Apgar score was 2, 4 and 5 at 1, 5 and 10 minutes of age. Cord pH was 6.7. Due to his severe clinical condition and his CFM tracing, it was decided that continuing treatment was futile.
The tracing itself is of low voltage, practically isoelectric beside a few bursts now and then. Note the suction artifact.
